Chambord, Chenonceau, Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, Blois, etc.: the most beautiful castles in France, the most richly decorated ones are concentrated in this region.
The kings and great lords built magnificent abodes along the gentle curves of the Loire and its tributaries, which bear testimony to their wealth and power.
In particular, King Francis I of France had called upon the greatest artists from Italy of his era, the Renaissance era, to decorate his various castles. He used to move from one castle to another with his entire entourage while on his great royal hunts in this region with its immense forests and where reputed wines are aged in deep cellars carved out of the tuffeau stone of the cliffs of Loire.
French Meeting welcomes you to this magnificent Loire valley as our honoured guest, with all the splendour of the great lords of the Renaissance era.
